About the KAPPA Programme
KAPPA is a new funding programme financed by EEA and Norway Grants. It concentrates on collaboration with partners from Czechia, Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein. The main focus of the programme is applied research. Almost 33 million EUR will be distributed between now and 2024.
Projects are expected to last three to four years and have a maximum budget 1,5 million EUR. The maximum aid intensity per programme is expected about 80%. About 40 projects are estimated to be eligible for support. The programme is not thematically limited, and project proposals are expected from different areas. A part of the funding (about 5,2 million EUR) will be allocated to projects with focus on carbon capture and storage. The project will always host a minimum of one applicant from Czechia and one from Norway, Iceland or Liechtenstein, while the main participant will be from the Czech Republic. The preferred cooperation model is the participation of an enterprise in cooperation with a research organisation.
The first Open call was launched on 20th November 2019.
